PMC Ride in progress!

Welcome aboard!

If you’ve found this page, you probably know that I’m taking on this year’s Pan-Mass Challenge, a fundraising bike ride that supports the Dana Farber Cancer Center. Dana Farber is one of the places where my Dad (Charley) has received the bulk of his treatment since being diagnosed two years ago, with aggressive prostate cancer.  Charley is an amazing person, and his strength and optimism in the face of such a challenge is a source of inspiration for me.  Riding the PMC is a way for me to support him in his fight.

So on August 1st and 2nd, I’m going to bike 163 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown, but I need your help. I’ll take care of the pedaling part, and hopefully you can help me raise as much as possible to support an institution that is at the leading edge of cancer research and treatment. Over the next few months I’ll be doing a lot of riding to get ready for the PMC, but it’s the supporters like you who will make this ride make a difference in the effort to find a cure for cancer, through the support of Dana Farber’s cancer research programs.

I’d like this site to be a resource for everyone who is supporting my 2009 ride of the Pan Mass Challenge – thanks for joining our team! There’s some information about donating here, and if you have any questions or want more info on the PMC, feel free to send me an email (nick.a.richardson at gmail dot com). There are more details about my fundraising goals and plans on the donate page, and you can follow along with my riding adventures through the twitter/blog page.

So take a look around, post a comment – anything from telling people why you’re supporting this ride to just saying hi – and come back often! I’ll be posting to the blog at least once a week between now and August. Thanks again for being a part of this.

What a wonderful way to support your Dad – it’s a great Father’s Day present. We’ve known your folks for many years and know that they are very proud of you for doing this. We’ll be with you in spirit during your ride!

Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
